Abstract

The current research is concerned with studying (Kinetic and Vocal Balance in Theatrical Actor Performance), as they represent two fundamental pillars in building the dramatic character and achieving artistic harmony in the performance. The research contained four chapters. The first chapter was devoted to the methodological framework, represented by the research problem, which the researcher identified in the question about the extent of the Iraqi theater actor's ability to achieve balance between his kinetic and vocal tools, the importance of the research, and its objective aimed at identifying the techniques and skills that establish this balance. The second chapter included the theoretical framework and consisted of three sections; the first dealt with the philosophical references of the concept of balance, the second reviewed performance techniques (relaxation, breathing, rhythm), while the third focused on international theatrical schools. The researcher adopted the descriptive approach in the theoretical framework, and the (case analysis) method in the third chapter, which included research procedures and the analysis of the purposively selected sample (play Psychosis / 4:48). The research concluded in the fourth chapter with a number of results, the most important of which is that kinetic and vocal balance is a dialectical product that reflects the psychological state of the character and is not limited to technical compatibility.
