Abstract

Contemporary theatre has witnessed a major transformation in its semantic structure, visual system, and architecture. He described theatre as having undergone several experiments over long periods, dominated by literary texts and linguistics. This is what made the components open and engaged in creating the visual system. Architectural formative systems played a role in presenting new formations that carry symbols and semantic signs that are generated and transformed into the space of contemporary theatrical performance. The researcher divided the research into four chapters. The first chapter included the methodological framework, the research problem, the research objective, its limits, and the definition of terms. The researcher dealt with the theoretical framework, which was divided into two sections: the first section entitled: Architectural systems in theatrical performance, and the second section: The structural foundations of the elements of architectural formation in theatrical performance, ending with indicators from the theoretical framework. The third chapter included the researcher's procedures on his research sample, which included the play "Rebuke." The fourth chapter included the results and conclusions, the most important of which are:

  1. 1. The focal overlap of the multiplicity of visual images adds aesthetic touches that inspire the recipient to follow and interact with them. This was evident in the play "Rebuke." The relationships between the visual systems are also evident in the succession and speed of the visual, physical, and virtual scenic formations.
  2. 2. Lighting in the play "Rebuke" was the primary player in furnishing the scenic environment, sharing the power of expression, creating the dramatic event and its developments, and deepening the recipient's sense of the messages and signs they receive within an integrated semiotic unit that encompasses all visual formation systems.

The research concluded with recommendations and suggestions, a list of sources, and a summary of the research in English.
