The dominance of the media in our public and private lives has played a major role in guiding public opinion toward the goals of the media message. This is what theater, particularly epic theater, has taken note of. It recognizes the role of theater in bringing about change for the better and more optimally for a more beautiful life. Therefore, it finds intellectual and artistic approaches in the media to achieve the goal of change. Therefore, we found it important to examine the directorial treatment of the media in Iraqi epic theater. It includes four chapters, as follows: Chapter One: The methodological framework, which includes the research problem, the research objective, the importance of the research, the research limits, and a definition of terminology. Chapter Two: The first section: The media and the concept of theatrical communication. Chapter Two: The directorial treatment of the media in epic theater, with indicators from the theoretical framework. Chapter Three: The research community, the research sample, and the research sample. The research concludes in Chapter Four, which includes the research results and conclusions, including:
- 1. Employing the research sample to be an artistic means of media to report the event.
2. The emergence of storytelling and reporting on the truth as a central theme in the epic performance, which formed an artistic approach bridging media and theater.
