شهدت الحقبة الواقعة بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية تحولاً ملحوظاً في البنية الشكلية للنحت المعاصر وتقنيات الإظهار، بأطره الفكرية والمعرفية الجديدة الزاخرة بالتغيرات السريعة والمتلاحقة لحركات واتجاهات فنية جديدة التي قدمت اشكالاً وانساقاً وعلاقات مستحدثة وانظمة تركيبية مغايرة اشتملت على تبسيطات يغلب على بعضها الاتجاه نحو التعقيد, لذا هدفت الدراسة الحالية التعرف على جماليات التبسيط والتعقيد في النحت المعاصر على وفق مفاهيم ما بعد الحداثة, وتمثلت مشكلة البحث بالإجابة عن التساؤل الاتي: ما جماليات التبسيط والتعقيد في النحت المعاصر, اعتمد هذا البحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي كونه انسب المناهج لتحقيق هدف البحث, بلغت عينة البحث(3عينات) تم اختيارهم بصورة قصدية بما يلائم خصوصية البحث الحالي, وقد قامتا الباحثتان بتصميم (استمارة تحليل) ومن اهم النتائج التي توصلت اليها الباحثتان :
