تناول البحث عناصر الحكاية في الرسم العراقي المعاصر (خليف محمود انموذجا). حيث حددت مشكلة البحث بالإجابة عن التساؤل الاتي: - هل تحققت عناصر الحكاية في اعمال الفنان خليف محمود؟
تضمن البحث اربعة فصول ، تناول الفصل الاول مشكلة البحث وهدف البحث وحدودهما الموضوعية والزمانية والمكانية واعقب الحدود على ما تضمن البحث من مصطلحات وتعريف اجرائي اما الفصل الثاني فقد تضمن الاطار النظري الذي احتوى على ثلاث مباحث ، الاول تناول مفهوم الحكاية ومكوناتها والمبحث الثاني تناول الحكاية من السرد اللغوي الى السرد في الرسم العراقي المعاصر اما الثالث فتناول مرتكزات الحكاية في الرسم ومنطلقاتها عند الفنان خليف محمود ، وتناول الفصل الثالث عرض لإجراءات البحث اما الفصل الرابع فقد تضمن ما تحقق من اجراءات بحثية وصولا للأهداف في ظل تحليل العينات المعتمدة وجاءت النتائج التي اعتمد فيها الفنان على اسلوب الواقعية الحديثة والتعبيرية المتعلقة بالموروث الشعبي (الحكاية) كما توصلت الباحثة الى جملة الاستنتاجات منها ان الحكاية هي نتاج موروث شعبي وحضاري توارثته الاجيال منذ نشوء الخليقة وانتهت بالمصار والسيرة الذاتية للفنان
