يحاول هذا البحث التأصيل للفن الرقمي السعودي، لذلك فقد جاءت أهدافه ضمن مسارين الأول يهدف إلى تتبع بدايات نشأة الفن الرقمي السعودي، والثاني لمعرفة أهم رواد الفن الرقمي السعودي ومعرفة أهم الفنانين الرقميين السعوديين. ولتحقيق أهداف البحث تم الاعتماد على المنهج التاريخي من خلال التسلسل الزمني للأحداث، ومن أهم النتائج التي ظهرت أن الفن الرقمي السعودي بدأ منذ أوائل التسعينات من القرن العشرين لأهداف تجارية وصحفية، وتطور بشكل واضح مع بداية الألفية الثانية، ومن أهم رواد هذا الفن: خالد الأمير وأحمد القاضي وفيصل المشاري وفهد الحجيلان، ومن أهم توصيات هذا البحث زيادة الاهتمام بالفن الرقمي من قبل المؤسسات الرسمية الثقافية والتعليمية.
