لطالما درست السينما القضايا الإنسانية من زوايا مختلفة. إذ تناولت أفلامها السير الذاتية والفلسفة والتاريخ والحروب والخيال العلمي وغيرها. إذ تسهم هذه الموضوعات وغيرها في النجاح اقتصاديًا وفنياً. وتطرقت السينما إلى التحول الجنسي منذ الثلاثينيات. فعلى مدى عقودٍ تحدثت هذه الأفلام عن التحول الجنسي ودافعت عن المثليين وناقشت كيف تسبب المثلية مرض الإيدز وتضر بالناس. وكما هو معروف، فقد ظهرت هذه الحركة في أفلام الرسوم المتحركة للبالغين والأطفال في جميع أنحاء العالم. وفي هذا البحث سنرى أن اختلال التوازن الهرموني يؤثر على الوظيفة الجنسية. إذ يشتمل هذا البحث الموسوم بـــ (الترويج للتحولات الفيسيولوجية في السينما) على أربعةِ فصول، جاءت كالآتي: الفصل الأول (الإطار المنهجي) الذي يتضمّن مشكلة البحث التي تمثّلت بالسؤال الآتي: ماهي أسس وضرورات عمليات التحول الفيسيولوجي في السينما؟ ومن ثم أهمية البحث والحاجة اليه، وهدف البحث، وحدود البحث. أما الفصل الثاني (الإطار النظري والدراسات السابقة) فقد قسّمه الباحث الى: الفسيولوجيا: الأصل والمفهوم، ودور السيكولوجيا في عملية التحوّل الفسيولوجي، والترويج للتحوّل الفسيولوجي في فيلم الفتاة الدنماركية. وتضمّن الفصل الثالث النتائج والاستنتاجات والتوصيات والمقترحات وقائمة بالمصادر.
