Abstract

The field of industrial design is witnessing rapid development, particularly in its ongoing pursuit of integrating functional dimensions with aesthetic and communicative dimensions. The industrial product is no longer merely a tool that performs a function, but rather an expressive medium that conveys messages and connotations that transcend the physical structure of the product itself. Expressive connotations are among the most prominent components of these messages, as they contribute to building an emotional and interactive relationship between the recipient and the industrial product. In this context, the recipient's sensory activity emerges as a fundamental axis in perceiving these connotations. Design is not perceived solely through sight, but rather through a multi-sensory system that includes touch and hearing, all of which integrate to shape meaning at the moment of reception..Thus, analyzing the relationship between sensory perception and expressive connotation is a fundamental approach to understanding the dynamics of reception and ensuring the effective realization of the communicative function of design.
