Abstract

This research explores the formal style and its intellectual implications in eco-furniture, starting with the question: What intellectual implications does the sustainable formal style in eco-furniture generate, and how does this style become a symbolic structure that effectively enhances the user's environmental awareness? The research aims to reveal how the sustainable formal style is formed and the intellectual implications it produces, deepening the user's environmental awareness. The theoretical framework includes the conceptual foundations of the formal style in eco-furniture, the sustainability of the style between material reality and intellectual vision, compositional structures, and perceptual experience, culminating in indicators of the style's functionality through examples of chairs, shelves, and seating units. From the foregoing, it becomes clear that the sustainable formal style redefines furniture from a consumer product to a sustainable and maintainable entity. Furthermore, revealing the structural design, the appearance of joints, and the use of recycled materials reinforces the transparency of the design's relationship to resources. It is worth noting that the recommendations emphasized adopting a sustainable formal style system that includes standardized units, clear structure, repairability, and the presence of natural materials. Keywords: stylistic style, eco-friendly furniture, sustainability
