يتناول البحث الطراز الشكلي ومدلولاته الفكرية في الأثاث الإيكولوجي انطلاقاً من مشكلة ،ما المدلولات الفكرية التي ينتجها الطراز الشكلي المستدام في الأثاث الإَيكولوجي، وكيف يتأسس هذا الطراز بكونه بنية رمزية فاعلة في تعزيز الوعي البيئي لدى المستخدم. يهدف البحث إلى كشف الكيفية التي يتكوّن عبرها الطراز الشكلي المستدام، وما ينتجه من دلالات فكرية تعمّق الوعي البيئي لدى المستخدم. تضمن الإطار النظري محاور التأسيس المفاهيمي للطراز الشكلي في الأثاث الإيكولوجي، واستدامة الطراز بين المعطى المادي والرؤية الفكرية، والبنى التكوينية، والتجربة الإدراكية، وصولاً إلى مؤشرات لاشتغال الطراز عبر نماذج من الكراسي والرفوف ووحدات الجلوس. ومما تقدم يتضح أن الطراز الشكلي المستدام يعيد تعريف الأثاث من منتج للاستهلاك إلى كيان قابل للعناية والاستمرار، وأن كشف البنية التركيبية، وظهور المفاصل وطبقات المواد المعاد تدويرها، يرسّخ شفافية علاقة المنجز التصميمي بالموارد. والجدير بالذكر أن التوصيات ركزت على اعتماد الطراز الشكلي المستدام منظومة تشمل معيارية الوحدات ووضوح البنية وقابلية الإصلاح وحضور المادة الطبيعية.
